Independent research provides the intellectual freedom to explore complex security challenges across traditional disciplinary and institutional boundaries. It enables emerging threats, evolving technologies and changing geopolitical dynamics to be examined from a broader and more integrated perspective.

My research is informed by more than fifteen years of professional experience in information technology, network infrastructure and cybersecurity. By combining practical experience with academic inquiry, I aim to connect technical developments with their strategic, political, operational and societal implications.

Rather than examining cybersecurity as an isolated technical discipline, my work considers its relationship with Intelligence, National Security, Geopolitics, Critical Infrastructure, Counterterrorism and Emerging Technologies. This multidisciplinary approach supports a deeper understanding of how digital transformation is reshaping contemporary security environments, intelligence operations and strategic decision-making.

Research Focus
My research examines the intersection of cybersecurity, intelligence and national security, with particular attention to the transformation created by artificial intelligence, automation and large-scale data analysis.
Key themes include the changing nature of cyber espionage, AI-supported intelligence collection and analysis, cyber threats to critical infrastructure, the digital dimensions of terrorism and counterterrorism, strategic competition in cyberspace, and the security implications of algorithmic systems.
I am particularly interested in how emerging technologies affect intelligence reliability, attribution, strategic uncertainty, institutional decision-making and democratic oversight. My work also explores the evolving relationship between human analysts and automated systems, including the risks of automation bias, manipulated information environments and AI-generated intelligence ecosystems.
Research Approach
My research draws upon interdisciplinary analysis, comparative case studies, open-source research and the evaluation of technical, strategic and policy literature. The objective is not only to describe emerging threats but also to understand their wider consequences for governments, businesses, critical infrastructure operators and society.
Through independent research, I seek to produce accessible, evidence-informed and practically relevant work that contributes to ongoing discussions in cybersecurity, intelligence studies and national security.
